Winoui bonus terms: the clauses that decide disputes
Most arguments between players and casinos about bonuses come down to a handful of clauses in the general bonus rules. They are rarely hidden, but they are rarely read. Winoui publishes its own bonus terms on the operator's site, and the version attached to an offer is the one that counts. This guide walks through the clauses you will find in almost every set of bonus rules, what they mean in practice and how to avoid the mistakes that lead to cancelled winnings.
Maximum bet with a bonus
While a bonus is active, most casinos cap the size of each bet. The cap stops players from clearing wagering with a few huge stakes. Exceeding it — even once, even by accident — can give the casino grounds to void the bonus and the winnings made with it. Some games raise stakes automatically through features or "bet max" buttons, so check your stake before every session. The wagering guide explains why players are tempted to raise stakes in the first place.
Restricted and low-contribution games
Terms list games that are excluded while a bonus runs, or that contribute only partly to wagering. Playing an excluded game with bonus money can lead to winnings being removed. The list can be long and can change, so look it up for the specific offer rather than relying on memory.
Maximum cashout
A maximum cashout limits what you can withdraw from bonus winnings. It is common on no-deposit offers and free spins, less so on deposit bonuses. An illustration, not a Winoui rule: with a cap of 100, a balance of 350 after completing wagering pays out 100, and the rest is removed. If you see a cap on a deposit bonus, weigh it carefully against the deposit you are making.
Sticky and non-sticky bonuses
With a non-sticky (or "parachute") bonus, your real money is played first and stays withdrawable; the bonus only comes into play if the real balance runs out. With a sticky bonus, deposit and bonus are combined and the bonus amount itself is deducted at withdrawal. The two models can produce very different results from the same session, so the terms should say clearly which one applies.
Time limits and one-bonus rules
- Activation window: how long you have to claim an offer after it is credited or announced.
- Wagering deadline: how long you have to finish the requirement.
- One active bonus: many casinos allow only one at a time; a new one may wait or be refused.
- Withdrawal during wagering: often forfeits the bonus and related winnings.
Bonus abuse clauses
"Bonus abuse" covers multiple accounts, shared payment methods or devices to claim the same offer, coordinated betting on opposite outcomes, and low-risk patterns designed only to clear wagering. Terms usually allow the casino to cancel bonuses, confiscate winnings and close accounts in these cases. Play one account, with your own details and your own payment method, and the abuse rules will not concern you. See also the no-deposit guide and referral guide, where abuse is most common.
How to protect yourself
Before opting in, save a copy of the bonus terms and the offer page. Note the maximum bet and the deadline somewhere visible. If a clause is unclear, ask support and keep the written answer. If a dispute arises anyway, follow the steps in our complaints guide. And remember that no set of terms can make an operator authorised in your country; that is for your national regulator to confirm.
